 1999  Fritz Lenz  Klaus Ripper |  2008  Maike Lenz-Scheele  Anja Bettner | The working group “European Youth Week Ludwigstein Castle” not only organizes the folklore-festival, it also includes a dance- and music-group: The LUDWIGSTEINER. The LUDWIGSTEINER were founded in 1990 by Fritz Lenz. He motivated many young and young at heart members of the working group to support his dancing group. He organized trips e.g. to Australia and Brazil and recruited new dancers from Hesse and Thuringia. After his death in 1993 his daughter Maike Lenz-Scheele took over the organization for several years. As of today she still shapes the style of the dancing group. When Maike spent some time of her life in foreign countries, Klaus Ripper and Anja Bettner helped out at leading the group. From 1991 "The LUDWIGSTEINER" operated as the German representation during the European Youth Week, at first without interruption until 2003. After many dancers from the first generation pulled back out, Bernd Klauer reunited the dancing group in fall 2007.
