Advent at Ludwigstein Castle isn't just a normal fair. Bilder vom Adventsmarkt 2003  Advent at Ludwigstein Castle is a very special Christmas fair. It has been held every year on the second Sunday in advent since 1985. At the centre of attention are cribs from all over the world. You can visit an exhibition of international cribs, in front of the archway of the castle you can find a Belgian crib with tall characters and in the yard you can see a "living crib" with real actors. 
At the Advent fair at Ludwigstein Castle you can find shopping opportunities, Christmas specialities to eat and drink, music played by the Ludwigsteiner Music Group and often also special exhibitions, e.g.: international Christmas decoration, Exhibition of paintings and photographs, cribs from Poland, Christmas in war times, Christmas postcards, stands for Christmas trees and others. The children can meet Santa Claus, visit the puppet show and work on Christmas handicrafts. |
